The RMH Accommodation Guide provides information about a variety of accommodation options near The Royal Melbourne Hotel, and any special rates available for country patients, relatives and escorts.
All rates listed are subject to change without notice.
When making an accommodation booking, state that you are a patient, or are caring for someone who is attending The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
 Travel and Accommodation Assistance Schemes
Country Patients may be eligible for travel and accommodation under the various State Assistance Schemes: VPTAS (Victorian Patient Transport Assistance Scheme) and IPTAAS (Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme) for NSW residents.
VPTAS provides partial reimbursement to assist rural and remote Victorians with travel and Accommodation costs incured when travelling more than 100km (one way) for specialist medical treatment. To be eligble, you must be residing in a Victorian Department of Human Services rural region, and have a current referral to the nearest medical or dental specialist or approved place of treatment.
Applications can be collected from Social Work reception, 1st floor, East Wing, The Royal Melbourne Hospital - City Campus, Grattan Street, Parkville, or contact your nearest Department of Human Services office and have one sent to you.
Your referring doctor will need to sign the application.
